Starting "Giselle"

Texas Ballet Theater's performance of "Giselle" a few months ago was spectacular.  It was the world premier of Ben Stevenson's production of the ballet and not only did it feature Fort Worth's amazing dance company, but also costumes and set designs loaned by the American Ballet Theater.  I'm just beginning this painting from my experience at the dress rehearsal in Bass Hall.  I'm hoping to capture some of the beauty and mystery of this performance.

Below are a couple of photos that I'm using as reference for my painting.

  1. Rich blues and greens, beautiful ballerina. How can this one be anything but gorgeous. I know I am going to love it.
