John Singer Sargent
I've just had the opportunity to see the amazing and inspiring "John Singer Sargent - Portraits of Artists and Friends" show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. (You can view the entire exhibition here.) It was a pleasant surprise to find out that photography is allowed and I took some close-ups that I would like to share with you.

Thank you for sharing these wonderful portraits, James. I especially like Marie-Louise Pailleron's portrait of the young girl. I was so surprised when photography was allowed in the Louvre. At least it was in their policy at the time - 2005 - with no flash, of course. But, I must say, that these portraits are not as appreciated (by me) than your portraits, James. Your attention to detail is the best I have seen. You truly have a gift.
