When I began this "Year In Fort Worth" I decided to save every paint tube I emptied during the year, just to see how much paint I would use on this project. Well, the answer is... a lot!
And with a paint tube like this costing around $60, I squeeze out every last drop with my trusted Tube Wringer.
Even though the year is almost over, I will continue to finish paintings I started during the year and will keep posting on this blog until Spring Gallery Night, March 24, 2012. Thank you for following along this year!
I'm not sure what you are contemplating as you look at that huge hill of empty paint tubes. I think only of the mountain of talent on canvas they have created during the year. While I certainly look forward to Spring Gallery Night, I will hate to see your Year in Fort Worth blog come to an end. It has been a pleasure to follow along.

ReplyDeleteHA! A great idea. Great shot of you behind the marvelous hill of used paint. I remember another fine artist telling me not to think of the amount of paint you use on your pallet, and to use it like you were rich and could afford it! It is still difficult for me to do, but, those are wise words.

ReplyDeleteThat is an impressive pyle! I need a paint tube squeezer like that. Made of metal. I have a new plastic one, but it's not strong enough. Where can I find one?
