Downtown Nightscape

I've just begun a painting of downtown Fort Worth at night, featuring the 100 year old Haltom's Jewelers clock in Sundance Square.  This pedestrian friendly 14-block area of shops and restaurants is a popular destination and on weekends is particularly lively.  I hope to capture some of the vibrancy of Fort Worth's downtown nightlife.

  1. The Haltom's clock in Sundance Square is indeed a landmark in Ft. Worth. It always reminds me of the famous Marshall Field's clock in downtown Chicago which is where we lived before moving to Texas. Nighttime paintings of cities are always exciting, and the green light and "walk" sign in the background certainly pick up the pace of this fun painting. I really like this one!
