"Barry Douglas Rehearsing with the FWSO" 8" x 10" Watercolor Last week I had the incredible privilege of sitting in on a rehearsal of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at Bass Hall. Guest pianist Barry Douglas, from Ireland, was in town to perform Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the orchestra. (You can read the great review he got in the Star Telegram here.) I was so moved by this musical experience that I came home and painted this watercolor sketch. I also had the privilege of meeting Barry Douglas after his performance and gave him the sketch as he autographed a couple of his cd's for me. Life is better with music! |
